AUX AIR Miami's extraordinary performance is a shining example of Auxiliary integration at its finest. Through 1,776 operational patrol hours across a fleet of 18 Auxiliary aircraft, the team supported critical operations for Sector Key West, Sector Miami, and other homeland security missions, completing a record-setting 402 missions.
Their dedicated efforts not only contributed to post-hurricane recovery and SAR operations, but also provided significant operational savings to the Service, with over $12.4 million in cost avoidance. This level of seamless integration into daily operations and training reflects a level of mission commitment and dedication that sets a benchmark for excellence across the entire Coast Guard Auxiliary.
